What Korean law says about brokers, referral fees and clinic ads
South Korea's Medical Service Act contains a general prohibition: no one may introduce, refer or solicit a patient to a medical institution or medical personnel for profit. The Act provides limited exceptions, and attracting foreign patients is separately regulated by its own statute, which is why registered agencies exist at all. The practical consequence for a patient is that an unregistered intermediary taking a cut of your treatment fee is not operating in a grey area.
